An Introduction
Kokomo Capital was founded in Sydney in 2007. Since inception the business has rapidly grown to be a truly global high-frequency trading firm. We have offices in Hong Kong, San Francisco and Sydney.
Utilizing the experience of approximately 40 professionals, Kokomo Capital actively trades multiple markets across the North American and Asian time zones. Kokomo Capital has a focus on deploying automated equities and futures strategies, with an emphasis on statistical arbitrage and ensuring market neutrality.
Exceptional technical solutions are core to everything that is done at Kokomo Capital. Coupled with an extremely talented and proficient staff, the business has achieved consistent, exceptional trading results.
The Business Activities:
The business is focused on developing scalable technical solutions for best-practice, consistently profitable trading strategies. This is achieved through development of proprietary trading tools and technologies.
Kokomo Capital has a significant presence on both the Australian and Tokyo Stock Exchanges. We also trade on some dozen other exchanges, inlcuding the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, NYSE and NASDAQ. With an expanding geographical footprint and global broker relationships, the business has been quick to move into new markets and asset classes. We continue to looks for more opportunities, in line with the objectives of the business.
The combination of scalable technology and the ability to quickly identify trading opportunities has driven the outstanding growth of the firm, something that we expect to continue.

Given that Kokomo Capital generates revenue from automated activity on financial markets, it is not surprising that most employees have held high-level academic qualifications in disciplines such as Mathematics, Finance & Information Technology. The business also has employees with Engineering & Science backgrounds, amongst others.
An emphasis is placed on ensuring a pragmatic approach is taken to problem solving and achieving business objectives. The business operates with a very ‘flat’ organizational structure, employees are encouraged to be actively involved in various projects at any given time, and to share knowledge between one another.
Kokomo Capital also happens to be a very social place to work. Employees often spend time together outside of the office. Given the recognized benefits of having a harmonious working environment, the business actively encourages people to get to know one another in a less formal setting by facilitating initiatives like an annual company trip and regular company dinners.
